Big Changes at Defy All Odds Apparel
Willow Street, PA (1/24/2014) – Defy All Odds Apparel, the growing action sports lifestyle apparel brand founded by AMA Pro Flat Track Racer and Next Moto Champion Associate Editor/Radio Host Cory Texter is moving to New York in the form of new owner; Corey Alexander.
Defy All Odds Apparel was started in August 2012. It was established in memory of Texter’s father Randy Texter who passed away from a long battle with heart failure in August of 2010. Since it’s inception, Defy All Odds Apparel has sold apparel to 48 states and 22 countries across the globe, truly defying all odds.
“The stuff I have been able to accomplish with the company has been unreal,” stated Cory Texter. “When I started this, I never pictured it growing as fast as it has. It just goes to show that anything can happen if you put your mind to it and work hard at it. Racing is where I am at right now and I want to focus most of my time this season on getting to the front and winning races. It has been my dream since I was a little kid and I want to put forth my best effort in achieving it. The company is growing fast and with the enthusiasm and background Corey (Alexander) already has with DAO, I know he will continue to push the brand to the front and reach new heights. I couldn’t be happier with my choice for a successor.”
19 year old Corey Alexander has worked with Texter on growing the company since late 2012 through his graphic design and marketing background. He has designed many of the items available at Defy All Odds today and is very familiar with business operations. The New Yorker is also no stranger to the action sports world as Corey is also the 2013 AMA SuperSport East Champion in AMA Pro Road Racing.
“After working alongside Cory (Texter) previously at DAO, I saw the tremendous potential the company holds,” stated Corey Alexander. “Having a strong interest and background in graphic design as well as a dream of starting a clothing company myself, Defy All Odds Apparel is a perfect fit what I’d like to do which is being an action sports based company with a strong message. I’d like to thank Cory for all of the help in making this possible. I look forward to what the future holds and making some positive changes to continue the successes that Cory has made, look out for new things to come!”

Defending AMA SuperSport Champion James Rispoli claimed another win Saturday at the American Red Cross Devils Showdown AMA Pro Road Racing Event at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ. In race one, he went to the point and slowly started to leave the field in the distance winning by over 11 seconds! He followed up the victory with a close 2nd place finish in Race Two. He is leading the championship by 60 points heading into the last two events in New Orleans, LA on Oct 5th-7th.
Shayna Texter won her 2nd main event of the 2012 season in Knoxville, Iowa on Saturday night. She qualified 1st, but her primary motorcycle suffered a transmission failure on the last lap of qualifying. The team quickly got together her back-up motorcycle ready, and she charged from a 3rd place start in the main event to the lead and never looked back, taking the win! She is a true example of what it means to Defy All Odds. Congrats Shayna!
Shayna Texter wins her 2nd career GNC Main Event at the Sacramento Mile. Starting from the pole position, she led all but one lap in route to her first win this season. Being the only girl in the 18 rider main event, she "defied the odds" and brought home the gold. Awesome job!
